Boulby Mine is one of the largest employers in East Cleveland and the stunning North York Moors National Park, shaping the region’s economic and social landscape for years to come. 
In 2023, we celebrated a remarkable milestone by mining and refining one million tonnes of Polysulphate, a low carbon, organic fertiliser that helps feed the world. As the only producer of this vital mineral, we take pride in our expertise and forward-thinking approach, this year we are to mine an annual output of 800 thousand tonnes of Polysulphate and 450 thousand tonnes of salt. Our dedication to safe and responsible mining practices ensures that ICL Boulby will not only thrive but also continue to contribute positively to the local community and environment.
